GREETINGS FISHES

AS WE APPROACH THE NEW SEASON AND OUR DAYS GET LONGER AND OUR GARDENS GROW, WE WILL DEBUT A NEW RESTAURANT CALLED THE CORNER.

OUR FOOD AND BEVERAGE PROGRAM WILL GROW AN ALREADY HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE TREND THAT WEIRD FISH HAS ESTABLISHED.  OUR MISSION IS TO BE THE MOST DIRECT AND AFFORDABLE OUTLET FOR ORGANIC, BIODYNAMIC AND SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS IN THE MISSION DISTRICT.

OUR WINE PROGRAM IS AIMING HIGH ALSO.  WE HAVE BEEN TASTING EVERY ORGANIC AND BIODYNAMIC WINE WE CAN AND ARE FINDING THAT THE WINES ARE OUTSTANDING AND AFFORDABLE TOO.

THE WEIRD FISH WINE PROGRAM WILL BE CHANGING TO AN ALL LOCAL (DOMESTIC) WINE SELECTION AND WE WILL OFFER OUR IMPORTS AT THE NEW CAFE/WINE BAR, THE CORNER.

AS WE ALL KNOW OUR ECONOMIC CONDITION IS FRAGILE AND OUR INTENTION IS TO KEEP OUR PRICES LOW AND KEEP OUR QUALITY HIGH.  THIS CAN BE A CHALLENGE, BUT WITHT HE HELP OF A MOST IDUSTRIOUS CREW, WE ARE FEELING INSPIRED TO KEEP THE FAITH.

PLEASE JOIN US IN MAKING THE MOST OF OUR NEW SPACE AND CONTINUE TO FEEL GOOD AND HEALTHY ABOUT SUPPORTING ORGANIC FARMERS AND THE WINE GROWERS WHO ARE MAKING THE PLANET AND EARTH A PRIORITY.

Taco Bike & the Ice Cream Stand

Cioa,

My friend Brion Nuda Rosch and I are doing food carts this summer. I would invite you to respond on what you think about mobile food? Can we argue both sides? I like the idea of good food being served free of walls. Just ss long as the cart is sanitary, So what do you think?

Will be at Southern Exposure from September 18th through October 11th…

THE PORTABLE ICE CREAM STAND

“Part art-object, part functioning ice cream stand, The Portable Ice Cream Stand is a nomadic food stand and social gathering assembled by visiting artists serving sweet refreshments at local functions, playgrounds, campsites, laundry mats, and book stores.”

This is my new proposed Taco Bike. I am planning to ride from 18th and Mission to 18th and Castro. Saturday and Sunday for now. Wave if you see me, and pick up a freshly made fish or homemade seasoned seitan taco. Should be great.

Thanks for checking out the Fish, your support and generosity is moving and inspiring. Ciao

Addicted to the Inner Mission

What can I say. I am a very lucky man, chillin in one of the best neighborhoods in the world. Really folks, I truly believe we have some of the best local spots in the city. I am talking about 14th street to 24th street. I am not sure what the exact inner mission dimensions are but I am interested in anyone who knows a little more than I do. I am starting a website where the people living and doing business in the Inner Mission can chat, blog, post or what ever is happening in your world. People can log in and view these events happening in the area. All businesses will be able to announce what is current in their world. Notifying the general public of sales, promotions, and anything people need to know about you. I feel that is what makes a great neighborhood. The diversity and ability to communicate as a whole. Give me some feed back please, am I crazy for trying this?

Ciao, Timothy

ps, I ate the best dinner tonight at Delfina, Jesse, Anthony, Graig, and everyone else who made it happen tonight, thank you for making my evening wonderful. If you have never been (my dear friend had never been before, 8 years in SF!) then you must NOT miss it. The local seasonal produce is perfect for Italian food right now. MMMMMmmmmm Squash blossoms.

A weekend in The Hood

After an adventurous and promising weekend only great memories remain! Here is a summarized update of the cool stuff that I did not miss.

I could have never missed the performance of my very good friend Mira Cook at Adobe Books a performance that in my limited music vocabulary as a reviewer, it was a deep, refreshing and inspiring experience with a naughty sense in the lyrics perfect for a Friday evening that reached the 90 Fahrenheit…

While at Weird Fish on Saturday night I’ve discover some guerrilla styled fashion the influence took effect in a very cool and quick way… some resemblance?

I was excited about going to the First Annual Block Party & Fashion Show while in the neighborhood and after a delicious breakfast it was the right thing to do to get ready and party on a sunny Sunday afternoon. check Shaggy’s (Timothy) Update for more details of the event.

Feel free to comment and share your experiences or inputs with us at the Weird Chronicles.

Block Party

There is going to be a really fun block party on 18th and Lexington street. Sunday June 22nd starting at 3pm. The fashion show will be starting around 5pm. Come see unique local designers showing off there quality products. The Mission Statement is a small local co-op. Come support the people who make San Francisco the coolest city in America. I will be giving out “sangria passes” for a refreashing beverage you can pick up inside the restaurant and bring over to the event. Ciao, see you tomorrow!!

Back from Italy

Ciao,

I was blessed with a three week vacation/research/development in the wonderful country of Italy. This trip has changed my views on simple foods, Italian wines and Italian woman. I had a lot of luck finding great food and wine, not much luck with Italian woman. My focus on this trip was to try and see how a wine-bar/cafe’ could make really fresh, simple food but not just be another cafe’. A challenge indeed considering I do not have a full kitchen. In Italy I was able to taste fresh, local foods, simply prepared foods. Most of the wines I tasted were very balanced, and very affordable. It was a trip of a lifetime, and I am hoping to get feedback on some of your favorite anti-pastas, wines, and simple snacks you enjoyed while in Italy. Thanks for stopping by,

I ate most of this dish by myself View to Capri

Ciao
